Staying Creative During an Outbreak
Creative Production and COVID-19, as you could imagine, do not pair well together.
During these unprecedented times, on location filming has become impossible, and working from home can hamper creativity and motivation. However, being creative isn’t something we always do under ideal circumstances, and new challenges present new opportunities for growth. We have this time to try something new, learn a fresh skill, break out of a habit or routine and challenge ourselves to be different. Taking steps to maintain and increase your level of efficiency at completing tasks is extremely important.
Music is a great resource for inspiring and blocking out the exterior distractions. It helps to lock in on a task and spark new ideas to get creative juices flowing. Listening to music can help get you back on track and keep you motivated.
Graphic lessons and tutorials can help to develop and evolve your craft. Implementing these new methods into workflow can help freshen up creative and stand out in the market. Constantly learning something innovative allows for creatives to be aesthetically interesting and keeps the viewers’ attention.
Creating mood boards is a wonderful source that can provide creative ideas as well. Collecting a variety of different designs that are appealing and then shaping that style into your own is a great way to stay innovative. Having an expanding library of creative ideas to expose yourself to daily, helps to always bring something new to the table.
Daily Virtual Meetings
Daily online meetings help with accountability reminding us that while we may be at home, we still have clients relying on us. Meeting daily is also key for sharing ideas as a team. While our interactions are through a headset, the brain storming and enthusiasm shared by teammates can boost morale.
Crafting New Strategies
Our approach towards clients has changed but being innovative is as important now as ever. Channeling our creativity away from clicks and more into positive impressions is a great start. Crafting strategies and developing new concepts that bring hope and a sense of community is important during these challenging times. This type of messaging helps to promote safe practices but also builds for future success!
