Requirements

Third Wave Digital worked closely with FLP's environmental team to take an empty room and develop it into an educational and highly entertaining exhibit center for visitors. TWD developed this project to be an immersive experience where visitors are surrounded by a visual panorama closely approximating the Sea Turtles natural habitat. With the aid of TWDs powerful, 3-D visualization tools and talented staff of creative minds, every square foot of the exhibit was planned, in detail, with the client before construction began. By managing each aspect of the exhibit design and overseeing all phases of the construction process, TWD was able to bring a holistic approach to implementing the look and feel of the sea turtles home.

Third Wave Solution

This exhibit, entitled The College of Turtle Knowledge can only be found at Florida Power and Lights St. Lucie Nuclear Plant. This exhibit includes a DVD presentation that appears on high definition plasma screen television. The presentation is hosted by the Chancellor of the College, Thaddeus C. Turtle. This charming, 3-D, animated character brings together various theme elements and gives the exhibit a more personal touch as The Professor tells the audience about the various learning stations located within the College of Turtle Knowledge. From the hand painted wall murals, realistic decorations and custom exhibit fabrication to the installation of an automated DVD playback system featuring a highly articulated 3-D animated character, Third Wave Digital created a dynamic exhibit experience.
