Tri-County EMC Receives National Recognition for Application of Electronic Communication.
Third Wave Advertising's web design and development work was once again recognized on a national level by "Spotlight on Excellence 2004," a Program of the Council of Rural Electric Communicators. The award was presented at the NRECA (National Rural Electric Cooperative Association) National Marketing, Member Services and Communications Conference from July 18 to 21.
Judges consisted of faculty from the University of Missouri-Columbia and UNC-Chapel Hill. They selected one Award of Excellence and one Award of Merit for each category and classification. The website Third Wave Advertising created for Tri-County EMC, http://www.tricounty-emc.com, won under Class 2 (serves 8,001 to 20,000 meters). The category was "Best Application of Electronic Communication" and the criterion included imagination, visually creative, well-written and easy to use.
Other recent accolades for Third Wave Advertising include a Regional Gold Addy award in the category of Interact Media for Florida Power & Light titled "Energy Master Challenge;" as well as a Gold Muse Award in the category of Institutional/Promotional for the Museum of Aviation's website, http://www.museumofaviation.org.
